Introduction

Hello to everyone who was kind enough to stop by and read what’s on my mind. This blog is about Life Lessons. Lessons based upon the knowledge and wisdom I think I’ve gained, along with what I’ve experienced and observed in my 40 something years on this journey called Life. So let me start by saying that I do not claim to know everything, or to be an expert, so don’t sue me. I’m just here to share. I believe we are all a work in progress and can help each other grow. I really enjoy helping people help themselves improve the quality of their lives. My philosophy is “teach a man to fish.”

Ok, so what’s my background? I’m no different from most people who function in various roles: Wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend; And I have previous experiences as a “girlfriend” which I sometimes long for when I get angry at my husband. Did I date a lot? Only in between relationships. Moving on. Since I don’t like being bored, work-wise, I’ve held a few positions – Budget Analyst, Human Resource Advisor, Training Coordinator, Contracts Coordinator, Telework Coordinator, Mentor Program Manager, Newsletter Creator, Writer and Editor, Strategic Planner, Secretary, Eye Glass Factory worker, supervisor, and non-supervisor. As a “military brat” we moved many times and lived many places: Scotland, Germany, Spain, New York (twice), Texas (twice), Virginia, Colorado, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. And I’ve visited a few places: Alaska, Mexico, Grand Cayman, the Poconos, Canada, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Maine, Delaware, Washington state, District of Columbia, Rhode Island, and West Virginia. In a nutshell, I’ve lived a lot of places, met a lot of people, racked up a lot of experiences and learned more lessons than I ever wanted. So I figured, why not share the journey with others. My aim is to post at least 3 to 4 times a week. As the comedian Carol Burnett used to sing each time her show was coming to a close ….. “I’m so glad we had this time together..” Hope you’ll keep coming back! WARNING: These lessons, should you choose to follow them, and not get in your own way, have the potential to improve your life. HAVE A GREAT DAY!
